New innovative products to be featured at Elevator Show

WEG, a renowned manufacturer of electric motors, gearboxes, and variable frequency drives, is gearing up to showcase its cutting-edge automation technology for lifts at the upcoming Elevator Show in Dubai. Scheduled to take place from September 16 to 18, the event will be a platform for WEG to unveil its latest products and innovations in the elevator industry.

The spotlight at the exhibition will be on WEG’s variable speed drives (VSD), featuring advanced algorithms and communication capabilities that not only enhance the safety and comfort of lifts but also contribute to making them more sustainable. Among the products to be highlighted is the ADL500 range, which includes the ADL510 version tailored for use with asynchronous motors in low-rise buildings, offering both open and closed-loop control options.

For medium-rise applications, WEG will showcase the ADL530 model, designed to work seamlessly with both asynchronous and synchronous motors. This model boasts features such as an onboard universal encoder interface and improved communication capabilities, making it a versatile and efficient choice for a wide range of elevator installations.

Visitors to WEG’s exhibition stand will have the opportunity to experience the flagship product of the ADL500 range, the ADL550 drive. This VSD introduces groundbreaking functionalities like Safe Torque Off SIL3, Safe Brake Test (SBT), and Safe Brake Control (SBC – SIL3) with EBC500 accessory, offering enhanced control and monitoring features to ensure the safety and reliability of elevator operations.

The need for more efficient and sustainable elevator solutions is becoming increasingly important as the number of tall buildings continues to rise. With 177 structures over 200 meters completed in 2023 alone, the focus on decarbonizing the built environment and reducing greenhouse gas emissions has never been more urgent. Seamless communication is another key aspect of the ADL500 range, with WEG set to showcase the dedicated WEG Liftouch free application for Android, iOS, and Windows platforms at the Elevator Show. This app allows for easy startup, monitoring, tuning, and alarm checks, either on-site via Wi-Fi or remotely through the WEG Drives RMS (Remote Management System).
