Emirates Introduces Refurbished 777s to Expand Service to Two Additional Cities

Emirates Airlines is set to launch its newly retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft to two additional cities, Zurich and Riyadh, starting on 1 October 2024. This move comes as part of the airline’s efforts to enhance its passenger experience by offering its latest cabins on more routes. The refurbished Boeing 777 aircraft will also be deployed to Geneva and Brussels, providing passengers with a new level of comfort and luxury during their flights.

One of the key highlights of Emirates’ enhanced 777 aircraft is the introduction of its premium economy class in the Middle East / GCC region. This will be a game-changer for passengers traveling to Riyadh, as they will have the opportunity to experience the comfort and amenities of the premium economy cabin for the first time. Geneva will also see a significant upgrade in its passenger experience, becoming the first city in the Emirates network to offer both premium economy and newly refreshed business class cabins on all flights starting from 22 September. Additionally, passengers traveling to Brussels will be able to enjoy the new cabin features and enhanced services on Emirates’ second retrofitted 777 aircraft from 9 October.

Emirates has ambitious plans to expand its premium economy offering to 28 cities by the end of 2024. Currently, 25 of its Boeing 777 aircraft have been retrofitted, with an additional 17 set to undergo conversion by the end of the year. These retrofitted aircraft feature six or eight first-class suites, 38 business class seats, 24 premium economy seats, and 260 economy class spaces, providing a diverse range of options for passengers to choose from based on their preferences and budget.

The introduction of premium economy class on Emirates’ Boeing 777 aircraft represents a significant milestone for the airline as it continues to innovate and elevate its passenger experience. Passengers can look forward to a new level of comfort and service, with enhanced amenities and a more spacious seating arrangement in the premium economy cabin. This move is in line with Emirates’ commitment to providing its customers with the best possible travel experience, whether they are flying for business or leisure.

In addition to the upgraded cabin features, Emirates has also invested in enhancing its in-flight entertainment and catering offerings to further enrich the passenger experience. Passengers can expect a wide range of entertainment options, including the latest movies, TV shows, music, and games, as well as delicious meals and beverages served by Emirates’ award-winning cabin crew.
