Celebrate Summer with Two New Marine Programmes at Aquaventure World

In a bid to celebrate the UAE’s native shark species, Aquaventure World at Atlantis The Palm is hosting a month-long event called Summer of Sharks from Friday, 12 July to Monday, 12 August. The Lost Chambers Aquarium will undergo a fascinating transformation to become a hub for shark enthusiasts, offering a mix of engaging and informative experiences. As part of this initiative, Atlantis is rolling out two new marine programs: Ray Feeding and Freediving Explorer. These programs provide guests with the chance to get up close and personal with marine animals, creating unique opportunities to observe and interact with the amazing underwater life.

The primary goal of Aquaventure World’s Summer of Sharks is to raise awareness about these mesmerizing species and encourage guests to actively participate in the conservation of their natural habitats. For each marine animal experience enjoyed by visitors, Atlantis Dubai has pledged to donate USD 1 towards local and international projects focused on conservation and sustainability every year. This initiative aims to empower guests to make a positive impact on marine ecosystems and support efforts dedicated to safeguarding these crucial species.

Atlantis Dubai has introduced the new Ray Feeding experience at the Shark Lagoon in Aquaventure Waterpark as part of the Summer of Sharks event. This experience allows guests to interact closely with stingrays, hand-feeding these graceful creatures while standing in waist-deep water. Led by Atlantis’s expert aquarists, the Ray Feeding program is suitable for ages six and above, with a minimum height requirement of 1.2 meters. Children aged six to 13 must be accompanied by an adult. The sessions run daily at 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm, with prices starting from Dhs 480 for children and Dhs 530 for adults. The experience includes an educational briefing, free same-day access to Aquaventure Waterpark, and discounted admission to The Lost Chambers Aquarium. Guests are advised to bring their swimwear for this exciting experience.

For reservations for the Ray Feeding experience, guests can visit the Aquaventure Ticketing Plaza or call 04-4260000.

In addition to the Ray Feeding experience, Atlantis Dubai has also launched the Freediving Explorer program at the Ambassador Lagoon, which is the UAE’s largest open-air aquarium. Starting from 20 July, certified free divers can explore underwater alongside 65,000 marine animals under Atlantis’s supervision. Participants are required to hold a valid freediving certification from recognized bodies like PADI Freediver. Suitable for ages 12 and up, the sessions are held on Saturdays and Sundays at 7am and 8am. Prices for the Freediving Explorer program start from Dhs 795, and include an educational briefing, use of freediving equipment, 60 minutes of water time, towels, water, and complimentary same-day access to The Lost Chambers Aquarium.

To make a booking for the Freediving Explorer program, individuals can visit the Aquaventure Ticketing Plaza or call 04-4260000.
