Shurooq Achieves 40% Completion on LUX Al Jabal and 25% on LUX Al Bridi Resorts
Sharjah’s Luxury Eco-Resorts Set to Transform the Emirate’s Tourism Landscape
In a significant development underscoring Sharjah’s ambition to establish itself as a leading luxury eco-tourism destination, the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has, in partnership with The Lux Collective, announced the progress of two upcoming resorts: LUX Al Jabal Resort and LUX Al Bridi Resort. As of now, the construction milestones indicate that 40 percent of work on the LUX Al Jabal Resort, located in Khorfakkan, has been completed, while 25 percent of LUX Al Bridi Resort in Al Dhaid is also underway. The total investment for both projects stands at a remarkable Dhs320 million, with completion expected by the final quarter of 2025.
These resorts serve a dual purpose: to provide high-end accommodation to discerning travelers and to enhance Sharjah’s standing as a premier destination for eco-conscious tourists. LUX Al Jabal Resort, situated along the picturesque Gulf of Oman, promises a unique integration of local heritage and natural beauty. Comprising 45 upscale accommodations, including one- and two-bedroom units, the resort is designed to accommodate a range of guests seeking both luxury and adventure in an environmentally sustainable manner. Spanning an impressive 260,000 square meters, LUX Al Jabal is set to become a hub for leisurely beach activities while fostering an appreciation for the region’s rich culture and stunning landscapes.
Meanwhile, LUX Al Bridi Resort will offer visitors a distinctive experience, situated close to Sharjah Safari—the largest safari park outside of Africa. The resort will feature 35 luxurious tented accommodations, designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding environment. With a variety of one-, two-, and three-bedroom options, guests can enjoy a unique immersion into the wildlife inspired by both African and indigenous species. Set against the backdrop of the expansive 784-hectare Al Bridi Nature Reserve, this resort represents a significant eco-investment in the emirate.
In his commentary on these developments, Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, CEO of Shurooq, highlighted that the addition of the LUX Al Jabal and LUX Al Bridi resorts aligns with the authority’s overarching goal of expanding its hospitality offerings. He articulated, “These resorts are valuable additions to our hospitality portfolio, which comprises nine diverse projects, including hotels and retreats that foster authentic and memorable experiences for visitors from the UAE and beyond.”
