Public beaches in Dubai reserved for families during Eid Al Adha holiday

Dubai Municipality has introduced a new circular to regulate the number of visitors and beach turnout during the Eid holiday to ensure families can enjoy the beaches in Dubai. The initiative involves reserving all public beaches affiliated with the Municipality exclusively for families during Eid Al Adha.

These eight designated public beaches supervised by Dubai Municipality, including Khor Al-Mamzar Beach, Cornish Al-Mamzar, Jumeirah 1, Jumeirah 2, Jumeirah 3, Umm Suqeim 1, Umm Suqeim 2, and Jebel Ali Beach, will cater specifically to families during this festive period.

Eng. Ibrahim Mohammad Juma, Director of Public Beaches and Water Canals Department at Dubai Municipality, highlighted the importance of managing the high influx of visitors during Eid Al Adha. To ensure the safety and security of beachgoers, a 140-member safety and rescue team equipped with advanced logistics equipment will be deployed. Additionally, a 65-member field control team will oversee beach operations to provide top security standards for families to enjoy the beaches.

The Municipality, in collaboration with strategic partners, will closely monitor all beach operations during the Eid holiday to enhance the well-being and happiness of residents and tourists. These efforts aim to provide a high-quality recreational experience and improve the overall quality of life for beach visitors.

Furthermore, the public beaches in the emirate have received the prestigious international Blue Flag Certification, symbolizing adherence to the highest standards in marine water quality, environmental education, management, public safety, and services. This certification underscores Dubai’s commitment to maintaining top-notch standards and providing a safe and enjoyable beach experience for all visitors.
