First Test Satellite Manufactured for Alya Space in Brazil successfully completes production in USPACE Technology Group
USPACE Technology Group Limited has reached a significant milestone in satellite manufacturing as their first test satellite of Alya-1 Satellite Constellation for Alya Satélite e Produção de Fotografias Aéreas Limitada (Alya Space) has successfully completed factory tests and departed from the production line. This marks a pivotal moment for USPACE as they transition from research and development to full-scale production, paving the way for the expansion of their international aerospace business.
In October 2023, USPACE secured a contract worth US5 million with Alya Space to manufacture 108 earth observation satellites for the Alya-1 Satellite Constellation. The departure of the test satellite from the production line signifies the initial step in verifying the functionality of the satellite, setting the stage for the production of the remaining 108 satellites. This achievement highlights USPACE’s expertise in satellite manufacturing and commitment to quality standards.
Alya Space has obtained orbital frequency registration for its satellite constellation from the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), with plans to launch the test satellite in the fourth quarter of 2024. USPACE has already supplied monitoring image data of the Amazon rainforest to Alya Space and will continue to provide long-term monitoring data to support environmental conservation efforts in the Amazon region.
USPACE’s global expansion strategy includes developments in the Abu Dhabi Space Eco City project in the United Arab Emirates and a master procurement agreement with the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO). The company is also planning a dual listing in the Middle East and has appointed key industry experts to its board of directors.
Ayla Space’s Chairwoman, Ms. Aila, expressed satisfaction with the test satellite and the services provided by USPACE, emphasizing the significance of the satellite’s departure from the production line for their constellation project. USPACE’s Chairman and CEO, Mr. Sun Fengquan, echoed these sentiments, highlighting the collaboration with Alya Space and expressing optimism for future cooperation.
In 2023, USPACE completed the construction of Hong Kong’s first satellite AIT center, equipped for satellite production in various categories. With the capability to produce up to 200 satellites annually, ranging from 10 to 1,000 kilograms, the AIT center signifies USPACE’s commitment to advancing satellite manufacturing technology.
