Explore Dubai’s top attractions on these vibrant RTA buses
Dubai, a city known for its iconic skyline and luxurious lifestyle, is now offering a new way for residents and visitors to explore its many landmarks and attractions. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has introduced the On & Off Bus, a touristic bus that will take passengers on a journey through eight key attractions in the city.
The brightly colored buses, a stark contrast to the traditional red and white RTA buses, will start their route at Dubai Mall. From there, passengers will have the opportunity to visit attractions such as the Dubai Frame, Heritage Village, Museum of the Future, Gold Souk, La Mer Beach, Jumeirah Mosque, and City Walk.
According to the RTA, the bus will make nine stops across these eight landmarks, as well as at Al Ghubaiba Metro, Bus and Marine Transport Station. The buses will operate from 10am to 10pm, with a frequency of 60 minutes. The entire journey through all the landmarks will take approximately two hours.
For the affordable price of Dhs35 per person, passengers can enjoy unlimited rides on the On & Off Bus for the entire day. Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of the Public Transport Agency at RTA, expressed that the new bus service will enhance the integration of Dubai’s public transport system by connecting with other modes of transportation such as the metro, marine transport, and public buses.
With Dubai welcoming over 9.3 million international overnight visitors this year, the city continues to solidify its position as a top tourism destination. The growth in tourism, a nine percent increase from the previous year, aligns with Dubai’s strategic vision for economic growth and its goal to become one of the world’s top three tourism destinations.
The introduction of the On & Off Bus is expected to be a popular option for tourists and residents alike, offering a convenient and affordable way to explore Dubai’s iconic landmarks and attractions. So be sure to share this exciting new initiative with your family and friends and discover Dubai one stop at a time.
