The Sharjah Directorate of Public Works (SPDW) has successfully completed the second phase of the Victoria Model School in Mleiha, in line with His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah’s vision for excellence in education. This significant achievement, coinciding with the new academic year, reflects the ongoing commitment to enhancing educational and infrastructure facilities in the emirate of Sharjah.

Specifically, two secondary school buildings were built, separate for boys and girls, expanding the school’s capacity to accommodate more students. Additionally, the existing nursery buildings were expanded to accommodate a larger number of students in the nursery stage.
One of the highlights of the new phase is the development of a facility for scientific laboratories and libraries, providing students with essential resources for practical learning and research. Furthermore, a state-of-the-art sports complex with courts for various sports was constructed to promote physical activity and encourage students to incorporate sports into their daily routines.
Engineer Abdullah Al-Tunaiji, Director of Branch Administration at the Department of Public Works, emphasized that the school follows the Australian curriculum, which includes specific standards for study areas, play zones, and green spaces. The design of the new facilities was reviewed by a team of specialists from Victoria School, ensuring that the expansions align with the school’s commitment to providing a premier educational environment for its students.
The Victoria Model School boasts specialized classrooms, knowledge resources, a library, arts and technology halls, all contributing to an ideal learning environment for students. Situated in the Mleiha neighborhood, with close proximity to Al-Bataeh, Al Dhaid, and Al Madam, the school is easily accessible to residents in these areas, ensuring that a wide range of students can benefit from its services. The school began accepting students at the start of the current academic year and has a capacity of approximately 1,000 pupils.
