238th UAE aid plane dispatched with 90 tonnes to assist Palestinian community

The UAE continues its humanitarian efforts by sending a new plane with 90 tonnes of relief and food aid to Al Arish city, Egypt, for transport to the Gaza Strip. This initiative, known as “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3”, includes 450 tents, food parcels, and dates, marking the 238th aid flight to Al Arish since the operation began.

Launched on November 5, 2023, the UAE’s Joint Operations Command of the Ministry of Defence, along with organizations such as the Emirates Red Crescent, the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, lead this operation to provide urgent relief aid to the people in Gaza.

Throughout this mission, the UAE has delivered 33,000 tonnes of food, medical supplies, and shelter equipment via 395 cargo planes, with 103 planes participating in airdrops under the “Birds of Goodness” operation. Additionally, 6 cargo ships carrying aid from the UAE and Cyprus to Al Arish and Northern Gaza, along with 1,243 aid trucks, have helped support the region.
